With thanks to funding from CrossCountry and Community Rail Network, we worked with Highly Sprung to create a project to help those who are newly arrived to the country to navigate the railways. In partnership with Highly Sprung, we hosted the Coventry Station Community Day to celebrate the completion of the new station extension and enhancements to the original station that is celebrating its 60th anniversary. Download our photobook from the day.
We commissioned local artist Lord Numb from Brink Contemporary Arts, to create an inspirational and eye-catching mural for people travelling to Commonwealth Games events by train and arriving at Birmingham International.
Careers, Creativity, and the Commonwealth - New Leaf
The second part to our project funded by Avanti West Coast, saw us working with the New Leaf Initiative C.I.C. to provide training and careers experience days to young people with barriers to finding meaningful employment.
We had the pleasure of hosting a work experience student from a local school at the start of June. As part of their week, they've created a report for us to share on their experience of a week of Community Rail.
